A Common Sense Longevity Principle

Are you ready for this? This is profound, yet simple. This is the common sense longevity principle. If you want to live an active, healthy, quality life for 80, 90, 100 years and beyond, there is one thing you are going to have to do:

You are going to have to not die. So stop killing yourself.

There are so many ways that we shorten our lives both quickly and slowly every day, taking years off our lives and life out of our years.  It happens through the small and seemingly insignificant decisions we make that enhance or detract from our quality of life. We eat the extra cookie. Tired, we skip our evening workout, even though we know the workout will energize us. We slump over keyboards all day without moving around and stretching. We develop habits and ignore the minor problems until they become a crisis. It is these destructive actions or inactions done over time that are literally killing us slowly causing us to deteriorate for decades.

We have the potential to live a high quality 100 years. You may be thinking, “I don’t want to live to 100.” First, you may not have a choice. Second, this is not a good excuse for being self-destructive and avoiding the responsibility for your health and your choices. The real issue is not when we die or what we die from, but how we live and the choices we make while we are living. It’s about quality of life every day!

This common sense longevity principle is simple. You are designed to thrive as you age and you will if you listen to your body’s Innate Intelligence, trust yourself, start making healthier choices and make the changes you know you need to make. On the other side of change is a tremendous feeling of freedom, youthfulness and renewal. This is where you will thrive. A 100 Year Lifestyle® provider can help!
